    1. This is an amazing story! When the situation with Emma happened I couldn't help but tear-up. I loved the characters, I loved Shawn and I loved Jason for helping him to make decisions that were right for Shawn and not to please anyone else. This read is filled with so much emotion and depth, I loved it from start to finish! When I came to the end of the story I felt sad, I wanted to read more! I wanted to keep reading about Shawn! Just fantastic.

    2. This is a very unique story. I've been reading a lot of fanfiction lately (too many other books to choose from so I've taken a step back) and they all have been more of the same. This story is unlike any of the others. Shawn is deaf. He also has the ability to hear other people's thoughts. His father left him and his mother when he was a baby and Shawn has not seen nor heard from him in years. Suddenly his dad wants him to make a trip across the country to visit him and his pregnant wife over Ch [...]

    3. I started this book and immediately found it didn't mesh with what i knew of deaf culture. I mean I suppose that there are as many stupid, emo deaf boys as hearing, but he doesn't seem to have kept contact with ANY deaf people from school, he doesn't make any attempt when traveling to a new city to look up any deaf events/communities/facilities. And then he's whining about isolation. He also complains about the limits of sign language, as if it was not a complete language, and well it is only us [...]

    4. I know it's free, I know it's not a professional piece so maybe I shouldn't be too strict, but the other reviews make it seem like this story was some lost jewel worthy of a Pullitzer price and I just don't think that's a good representation of this on line fiction. I liked the premise, I thought the idea of the character was intriguing, but overall: to me it was an okay story. Just okay. Not good enough, though, to disregard the bad pacing, lack of logic and the horrible spelling (mind you: hal [...]

    5. Its one thing when family says they understand but something else when there's someone who knows what it's like. Mind reading maybe unique but finding someone who can do "the one in a billion" thing that you do, you just want to grab hold and never let go.I love the MCs Shawn and Jason and how Jason finds a way to tell Shawn life altering decision are meant for him and not the mole others have. Emma i cried for you. In all a story about life no matter how unique it is.

    6. This story was really sweet. Shawn is deaf but can read minds when he goes to visit his father he meets Jason. A person that will forever change his life. I laughed, I cried and overall love the book! I will be looking for more from this author!

    7. Loved it, I couldn't stop crying. This story deals with the choices we make and how they affect us and those around us. The love story is very sweet. I will read this one over and over again.

    8. 2.5 Stars I liked the story but there's just something about it that does that I just can't give it more :s
